A therapeutic intervention for your nervous system that provides lasting results
Safe and Sound Protocol Groups
Reset your nervous system. Reconnect with yourself. Rebuild resilience.
-
The SSP is not just music—it’s a therapeutic tool that can help you:
Reduce stress and anxiety by calming an overactive nervous system
Improve emotional regulation so you can respond rather than react
Enhance focus and attention for work, school, or everyday tasks
Strengthen resilience in the face of life’s challenges
Deepen connection with yourself and others
-
The SSP can be supportive for children, teens, and adults who experience:
Anxiety, stress, or overwhelm
Sensory sensitivities
Emotional reactivity or shutdown
Social difficulties or disconnection
Trauma-related symptoms
Challenges with focus and learning
-
The program involves listening to 5 hours of specially filtered music, typically completed in short sessions over several weeks. Sessions can take place individually or in group settings, always supported by a trained provider.
Each group is designed to provide a safe, supportive space where you can:
Experience the SSP alongside others who “get it”
Learn tools to support nervous system regulation
Integrate new skills into daily life with guidance and community
-
While the SSP can be experienced individually, doing it in a group offers an added layer of connection and support. Many people find that healing feels easier when they aren’t doing it alone. Our groups combine the SSP listening program with discussion, reflection, and practices to help you apply what you’re learning in real life.

— Shani B, SSP Therapist Group participant
“Kirsten did a great job at making sure we understood the therapeutic evidence to support the effectiveness of the SSP. We had a nice balance of psychoeducation and listening time, which made for an enjoyable group. I would highly recommend this group to anyone who is interested.”
